Sometimes, God just shows up because.
Last week, while I was praying, the LORD told me to take 5,000 and go buy an engagement ring for Laura. I immediately put it in my heart to do just that.
After a little finagling of the finances, I managed to get things in line. Actually, the finances are still thin as can be, but God said.
I took Jack with me last Friday to Shane Company to buy the ring. It was awesome to be able to do that with my son, as a rite of passage of sorts. Considering that most men buy the ring long before the kids are even born, this was an added bonus.
I gave the ring to Laura on the 6th. We prayed together, and I pulled it out.
The funny thing is that the LORD already told her the day before that I was going to give it to her. Funny.
But, what was significant is that He also told her that she is the same girl that I fell in love with a long, long time ago. And, now she had a sign and proof that what He told her was true.
Amazing.
When I was buying the ring, doubt wanted to creep in. Did I hear God right? Yes! As I was paying for it, I felt the Presence of Love come upon me. His Spirit was there. I wanted to cry. It was Jesus.
This morning, I asked Laura if she was checking out the ring during the day. She said yes, but she adde that she didnt realize the value it had and what it really meant to her.
God is doing something through this. It is special.
Thanks LORD. Restore us to all that You have for us.
