Unhealthy Fear of Man

There is an unhealthy fear of God.

When a man walks through the valley and believes that God orchestrates his harm, he will stop saying yes to God’s process for development. I know. I have been there.

I didnt want ot hurt any more. I wanted God to stop. Jer 29:11is violated but it is still in force. So is Is 54: 15

“If anyone fiercely assails you it will not be from Me.
Whoever assails you will fall because of you.

His plans are not for our harm.

I also think about the story on the person who judged God as shrewd. The same way he was judged.

We need to see God for who He is – not who we think He is. He has already judged sin. He wont do it again. He will convict the world of sin to move us to repentance. But sin has its own work and results. God does not cause calamity.

The affects of sin, etc. are laid out clearly.

There is a causal relationship between unbelief and hell, sin and death, judgment and lack of mercy, unforgiveness and torment, rebellion and witchcraft.

These relationships exist like gravity. When we move in one, there is a response, but not necessarily from God. He works to change us, sanctify us. So, if you are in the desert, it could be that you are learning how to work yourself out of it. Or, it could be that you are being tested to see what is in your heart and whether you will obey God.

And, in the process and trials, you are maturing. You are learning God’s nature and ways. You are coming to know the LORD. You are learning who He is and who you are. You learn your authority – as a son.

Certainly, God disciplines those He loves, and He chastens. But, it is for our good and not harm. He doesnt beat us into submission. Come, let us reason together, He says.

It is for correction and not abuse. The devil has been accusing God for a long time. Sure, the invitation may mean loss of comfort. But, you are an overcomer and can trust hte goodness of God to make it all work to your benefit.
