Your Brand New Day Is Here
“It’s a Brand New Day” is something that I prophesy over people all of the time. The great news in Christ is that everyday is a brand new day. To me this is a moment of freedom to enter into the dreams that God has for you. There are no limitations. You won’t get up tomorrow and be bored with what God has in store. You are going to rise into a new moment, a new day and a new hour. Every day that is called today is a new moment that God wants to bless you in. As you seek him you will find him if you seek him with your entire being.
You have heard this message before, but when things are birthing and the new is emerging sometimes the old patterns of life begin to shift and you have to let go. Letting go is harder than perhaps you can even imagine, and sometimes when God is trying to change your life it can seem like all hell hits the fan. You lose your job, or you lose your home, or family relationships become rocky.
I remember when God was trying to get me to move out of the comforts of my pastor postition at my church and become a roaming prophet, things got really tough there. I ended up getting angry and I exploded in a church meeting and then ran out of the church. I resigned my position shortly after. I should have done it before, but fear gripped me and I couldn’t make the decision.
Once I made the decision to become a traveling preacher things leveled out for me in that church. I am still there today. I love them and they love me. Things came back into equalibrium when I came into agreement with the Lord’s plan for my life. I have friends who should have made decisions for change a long time ago. They seem so angry and disgrunted, they no longer can afford to live, and their relationships that once were fruitful are no longer even happy. God intended to bless them in another place but these people decided that staying where they were, was more important than the risk of moving on. As a result they are living unfulfilled lives.
I believe we are in a season where God wants to stretch the body of Christ. Some of you know in your heart of hearts that God is wanting to make changes in your life. He is trying to stretch you but you have to let him stretch you. Isaiah 54 is about the stretching of the tent pegs. God wants to stretch you. He wants to increase you. With change can come pain, but with pain comes growth. God has birthed you for greater things.
One of the things the Lord said to me about 2019 was that the body of Christ is going to go beyond where it has ever been before. I kept seeing astronauts walking on the moon looking back at the earth. I kept seeing rockets propelling themselves into outerspace. The explosion that takes place when a rocket takes off is immense. God is about to propel you and even though you might think it is exciting, the G forces between where you are now and where you are going might frighten you a little bit. You might have to hold onto something because you are going for a wild ride.
Last year the Lord stretched me, but in stretching me I faced a lot of fear. I went to nations to minister that I had never gone to before, and in some of those places i had to deal with fear. As I learned that God was the king over those fears I was stronger. I learned that when I am weak he is still strong.
You are going to go deeper than ever before. To me this means that God is about to give you thoughts to help you change into something different than what you are right now. He has plans for you. In order to do that he has to change things about the way you think. He will go deep into your mind and heal the lies and fears that are inside of you. In order for change to come you have to be freed from the things that hold you down. Going deeper into God is having his thoughts for your life.
He who the son sets free is free indeed. Perhaps you feel like you are a writer but you wonder who would even read what you wrote. Perhaps you think you are an artist but you feel that what you create wouldn’t be liked. God wants to show you that what you are he created. If you have gifting, he put it there. You are being changed from glory to glory. Your present glory is shifting into your future glory. You are becoming brand new.
All things are new. Today is a brand new day. You may not have been able to do it yesterday but tomorrow there are no limitations. Last year I was in Australia. I went surfing for the first time. When I was coming out of the water instead of saying I was too old to do this again, I said to myself, “I started surfing in my 40’s.” And I will surf again and again. There are not limitations. You can do it. Just believe and you will do things you never imagined you would do.
