I was a fugitive running from some people – like government agents. They were trying to kill me. It was like I was James Bond or something.
We were at some industrial or business park area, and there was a lake next to the facilities. I saw a map from above of the whole place, and the name of the lake was “drill lake.”
Some of the guys found me in the parking lot. Before they could do anything, I took off running. One shot was fired; it missed.
I ran across the parking lot and jumped into a huge oak tree that came up out of the lake. It was massively round. I fell down through the branches and into the water. I hung close to the shoreline under the leaves and debris in the water trying not to be discovered. But, two agents soon found me. I saw one lining up his gun to shoot me and shining his flashlight in my direction.
I could only think, “God, dont let this hurt long.”
But, then I turned and went toward the deeper waters. I was going to swim across – all the way. I was thinking, “why didnt I do this before?”
I removed my shoes and jeans and took out my wallet. I remember thinking that I would have my driver’s license and credit card in my hand in case I lost everything else.
I made a balloon out of my jeans so that I could float on them as I kicked across the lake.
I knew that I would make it to the other side.
