I was at the golf-course. It was a high-school tourney in my old hometown in Marietta. I was walking the course watching the kids playing. I followed the big name guy from our team. He smoked. I gave him some advice on the 2nd shot. The hole was a dog-leg left, down the hill and then up to an elevated green above the heads of everyone. The green sloped from back to front.
He was afraid to do what I told him so he didnt do it. He bogied the hole. We kept talking. It was like I was some kind of celebrity. Everyone knew me.
Then, we were at the state tourney. I was even talking about caddying for the kid.
Then we were in the proshop, and I was looking at the clubs in the shop.
I saw some really nice Hogan irons. They heads were super-modern. But, the shafts were hickory – like in the real old days.
I woke up.
