Fear

I know that Joshua and Caleb had different spirits. They had a ferocity to their determination. David believed God and was after His heart. And, had no apparent fear when facing Goliath.

But, I would contend that these guys had to grow in their strength and courage. Until you actually get into battle for the first time and see the eyes of the enemy in your face, you dont really know that your God is with you. You have no assurance that He is who He says and will win the battle as He promises. “Victory is mine”, says the LORD.

Well, is it? How do I know?

I go to war.

The last two years found me facing all kinds of fears. God says to me 2.5 years ago in CO, “dont be afraid for I am with you.” Yea, well that doesnt stick until you have to see it acted out.

I saw:

1) Jordan in the hospital 17 days and 3 in ICU. The LORD delivered her.

2) Jordan dealing with suicidal thoughts and complete rebellion. The LORD delivered her.

3) Laura saying over and over that she was going to divorce me. The LORD delivered us.

4) Continuously running out of money. God provided.

God is faithful, and He does it. I sit out here in a small room in Grant Stailey’s insurance building. It is my house for now. But, God is with me. And He will deliver me into the promises that He has spoken over my life. May His name be glorified among the nations through us.

Do NOT fear! The LORD IS with me!
