Something changed this am. When I got up, I felt a shift in the spirit.
In prayer, I felt the LORD invite me to go fishing near Parshall. I am to spend the night in my hammock. Ok, facing fears again.
But, in my processing, I got to thinking. The LORD of all is inviting me to go fishing. Hey, that’s pretty cool. Forget fear. I need to go fishing. Me thinks it’s prophetic.
When I got online, here is the word on eliljahlist. Pretty confirming.
“I Will Go Before You! God is Preparing His People for Kingly Mantles!”
Kathi Pelton, Portland, OR
God’s Strength Will Manifest For You!
I heard the Spirit speak to me saying, “Tell My people that I am going before them. Do not be afraid!”
Whatever the Lord has called you to do and wherever He has called you to go, He has already gone ahead of you to establish His Word and His will. Even if you have the call of a spiritual pioneer who is forging new paths and opening new territories, He has already gone ahead of you to make the way.
The enemy would have you think that the burden is on your shoulders, but the Lord says to remind you that His yoke is easy and His burden is light. You must only trust and obey. It is in your weakness that He will manifest His strength and establish His will. Like Paul, you can boast in your weakness, knowing that Christ will be made known, despite the limitations of human strength and wisdom.
God Prepares You for Great Positions
The Spirit is asking you to go forth in faith. He has also spoken to me that this is a time to pray for wisdom. I continue to hear the prayer of Solomon when he was placed in the position of king:
“Now, O Lord my God, you have made me king instead of my father, David, but I am like a little child who doesn’t know his way around. And here I am in the midst of Your own chosen people, a nation so great and numerous they cannot be counted! Give me an understanding heart so that I can govern Your people well and know the difference between right and wrong. For who by himself is able to govern this great people of Yours?” (1 Kings 3:7-9)
Solomon was aware of being “like a child who doesn’t know his way around,” and yet he was chosen by God to lead a great nation and people. In his weakness he called upon the Lord for the wisdom and discernment to lead and to know right from wrong. It wasn’t his great strength or understanding that qualified him, but rather it was his dependence upon God to go before him and to stand with him.
The Lord was so pleased with Solomon’s request that He gave him far more than wisdom:
“The Lord was pleased that Solomon had asked for wisdom. So God replied, ‘Because you have asked for wisdom in governing My people with justice and have not asked for a long life or wealth or the death of your enemies—I will give you what you asked for! I will give you a wise and understanding heart such as no one else has had or ever will have! And I will also give you what you did not ask for—riches and fame! No other king in all the world will be compared to you for the rest of your life! And if you follow Me and obey My decrees and My commands as your father, David, did, I will give you a long life.'” (1 Kings 3:10-14)
Many are being asked to step into positions that have caused them to become keenly aware of their human weakness. Many are being asked to take up mantles that feel too weighty for any man to carry by himself. The Lord wants you to know that He has gone before you and the mantle that He has placed, or will soon place, upon your shoulders is a light burden, and yet this mantle will cause you to have a heavy impact on all that you do as you follow His steps and instructions and heed the counsel of His wisdom.
A Kingly Mantle
Mantles of kingly authority are being laid upon many sons and daughters in this hour. As people receive them, families will be restored, regions will be transformed, and nations will be reformed. Do not focus on your natural disqualifications, because they are the very things that qualify you. It is because of your weakness that His strength has room to be made manifest. It is because you are willing to lay down your crown that He will now exalt you to a place of greater authority which will usher in the reformation needed in the spheres where He has placed you.
He Has Gone Ahead of You to Make a Way
The Lord has gone before you! He is establishing the victory that accomplishes His Word and His will, even before you arrive in the moments that are ahead. His wisdom is now coming to you. His mantle of authority is laid upon your shoulders, enabling you to call forth the fruit of all the seeds that you have planted in the land and spheres that He has placed you in. This is a time to receive the positions and calling that He has chosen to place you in; a time to position yourself in the fear of the Lord which is the beginning (foundation) of wisdom.
“But you belong to God, my dear children. You have already won a victory over those people, because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world.” (1 John 4:4) (To Subscribe to the Elijah List subscribe here.)
