Matthew 21:28 For wherever the carcass is, there the eagles will be gathered together.
Carcass refers to dead body. But, eagles dont eat dead bodies – buzzards do. Eagles eat fresh kill.
It’s funny. I looked it up on crosswalk, and the NAS version uses vultures for the same reason that I just wrote. Eagles dont eat road kill.
Some say that the eagles represent the prophets. Others say the apostles. Either way, there is a gathering over the dead body – in one camp, the Kingdom’s governmental leaders; in the other – the mouth of God. The body of Christ has been showing signs of death up to now. But, God is releasing the Elijah spirit just as He foretold. The body of Christ needs revival. Dead things need reviving. Unfortunately, the Body of Christ doesnt act like it’s alive.
The prophets will gather and speak life into the dry bones. God will then breathe into them, and life will come back.
