God is working on the marriage

The time with Deborah (counselor) last evening was a little hard. It’s amazing how we get strongholds of thoughts that we just wont let go. The entire discussion seemed to be a bit difficult, but as we were leaving. Laura said that she had a big “a ha”. Bless God, He got something to her.

This morning, Laura and I had an IM exchange about the house. He is busy on us. Yea God! He will do it!

John: so, i am trying to think of nothing to talk about but am getting nothing

i do have an thought on the housing situtation, but that is something, and I am trying to talk about nothing

John: well, if God is in control of everything and it is His will that we not buy, He knows you need a place
I would suggest that you approach susan and offer to her to rent her place month to month until it sells
i know that its not your top choice
but i also know that God will work it all out perfectly
her house wont sell until the moment you are supposed to move
given this market it works out nicely for her to have someone paying the bills
otherwise her house could sit idle for a long time, and i bet she doesnt have the bucks

until the right time
nor will you be locked in
on month to month, i think you need to give 30 days notice in either direction

Laura: it would be worth a asking. i have been thinking that she might prefer to get a year lease from someone but since i have atrack record of payment she might think that staying with me would be a better option. also i was thinking 60 days notice for both of us

John: legally, i think that its 30 days
but, if you feel more comfy with 60, ask for that
it is to her advantage in this market to have income
i would stand firm on no term commitment to a lease
that doesnt feel right at all

i could call bobby and tell him that you want a month to month with a 30 day out on your side and 60 day on her side

Laura: lets see…how do i feel about that? I think that i would benefit from a 60 day notice if she sold the house and i still had no idea where to go

John: so, what if you put together your desires and emailed them to bobby for presentation?
whats the worst thing that could happen?
she could say no, andyou would be right here in teh same position
but, she could say yes
and you would have security
and not have to move
and a month to month lease

Laura: i don’t think i have to do this yet. ithink if i have something to present by april 15th that is the right time. that is 2 months before my lease expires and about the time she will be lowering the price on the house(Probably)

John: ya ok
be good to let that house get no traffic for a while

Laura: perhaps having the house sit for the next month with little to no activity will make my offer seem better

John: she probably thinks its going to just sell right away, given her price
