I am NOT Jonah

Nate had a word for me the day after I was laid off “Jonah”. I’m like, “what?” I am not Jonah.

Yesterday, the LORD took for a walk up in RMNP. It was awesome. I went to Bierdstadt lake, and the view was so beautiful. But, I had to go through a forrest. Lots of snow, but also the thought of mountain lions kept going through my head. I was not going to stop. I know that the LORD goes before me and guards my rear. He gives angels charge over me.

So, I pressed on. As I was walking, He started talking to me about not fearing. He said, “do not be afraid, for I am with you.” Yup. Joshua came to mind. Wherever we are headed, it will take faith and trusting in Him. I will NOT be afraid, and I am NOT Jonah.

Here is today’s word:

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by Marsha Burns — April 15, 2009:

In a vision I saw what looked like someone fast- forwarding through a video tape. And, the Lord said, you will no longer maintain status quo by trying to preserve your existing state of affairs. You are on a fast track that will move you forward quickly, for I am positioning you to fulfill your kingdom destiny more completely than you could have imagined. Yield to the flow of My Spirit so that divine order can be accomplished in your life and circumstances. Be aware that the enemy of your soul will do what he can to instill a sense of fear to keep you from progressing, but you must not allow anxiety to hinder your potential in this momentous time, says the Lord.

Philippians 4:6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.
