This morning, as I was hanging with the LORD, I kept hearing glory. In fact, I read about it in 2 Corinthians 3 and 4. And, today’s Elijahlist speaks about it.
In worship today, many of the songs spoke about it.
And, I prayed for a lady with macular degeneration. She fell out twice. She said that there was improvement but not 100%. I expect that it will be. She said something left her that clouded over her sight.
The glory is coming back, baby!
Ministers of a New Covenant
3 Are we beginning to commend ourselves again? Or do we need, as some, letters of commendation to you or from you? 2 You are our letter, written in our hearts, known and read by all men; 3 being manifested that you are a letter of Christ, [a]cared for by us, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of [b]human hearts.
4 Such confidence we have through Christ toward God. 5 Not that we are adequate in ourselves to consider anything as coming from ourselves, but our adequacy is from God, 6 who also made us adequate as servants of a new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.
7 But if the ministry of death, in letters engraved on stones, came [c]with glory, so that the sons of Israel could not look intently at the face of Moses because of the glory of his face, fading as it was, 8 how will the ministry of the Spirit fail to be even more with glory? 9 For if the ministry of condemnation has glory, much more does the ministry of righteousness abound in glory. 10 For indeed what had glory, in this case has no glory because of the glory that surpasses it. 11 For if that which fades away was [d]with glory, much more that which remains is in glory.
12 Therefore having such a hope, we use great boldness in our speech, 13 and are not like Moses, who used to put a veil over his face so that the sons of Israel would not look intently at the end of what was fading away. 14 But their minds were hardened; for until this very day at the reading of the old covenant the same veil [e]remains unlifted, because it is removed in Christ. 15 But to this day whenever Moses is read, a veil lies over their heart; 16 but whenever a person turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. 17 Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. 18 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit.
Paul’s Apostolic Ministry
4 Therefore, since we have this ministry, as we received mercy, we do not lose heart, 2 but we have renounced the things hidden because of shame, not walking in craftiness or adulterating the word of God, but by the manifestation of truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God. 3 And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled [a]to those who are perishing, 4 in whose case the god of this [b]world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving [c]so that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. 5 For we do not preach ourselves but Christ Jesus as Lord, and ourselves as your bond-servants [d]for Jesus’ sake. 6 For God, who said, “Light shall shine out of darkness,” is the One who has shone in our hearts to give the Light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.
7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, so that the surpassing greatness of the power will be of God and not from ourselves; 8 we are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not despairing; 9 persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed; 10 always carrying about in the body the dying of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body. 11 For we who live are constantly being delivered over to death for Jesus’ sake, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh. 12 So death works in us, but life in you.
13 But having the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, “I believed, therefore I spoke,” we also believe, therefore we also speak, 14 knowing that He who raised the Lord Jesus will raise us also with Jesus and will present us with you. 15 For all things are for your sakes, so that the grace which is [e]spreading to more and more people may cause the giving of thanks to abound to the glory of God.
16 Therefore we do not lose heart, but though our outer man is decaying, yet our inner man is being renewed day by day. 17 For momentary, light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison, 18 while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.
Today’s Elijahlist
“Glory Departed to Glory Restored Over Our Nation!” Jon and Jolene Hamill, Washington, DC
As of Passover 2017, Jolene and I feel the Lord beginning to release a fresh work globally to His Body. Many of you will find yourselves in “full circle moments” as God begins to crown your covenant commitment with His glory and government! Let’s explore a few perceptions that will help you welcome His incredible movement into your life.
Normally we write from Washington DC, but today we’re writing from Jerusalem. We just helped lead a pioneering worship journey through Israel with James Nesbit, Jamie Fitt and Ed Watts. Our goal was to retrace the footsteps of King David as he restored the Ark of the Covenant to his nation and people. We felt summoned here simply to bear witness that it’s now time to see God’s glory restored.
Not coincidentally, the beginning of our journey—Purim—also marked the 40th anniversary of a prophetic perception by Bob Jones. On March 11, 1977 the Lord showed Bob a vision of “Ichabod” being written over the doorposts of the American Church. Ichabod means “glory departed.” The prophet always believed that after 40 years, this determined time of discipline would come to an end.
Amazingly, March 11, 2017 marked the first night of Purim. Just before leaving for Israel, Jolene and I took part in an amazing service at the Bob Jones Vision Center. Bonnie Jones shared a vision where she saw the Lord literally erasing “Ichabod” from our land and replacing it with “Glory!” Ichabod to Glory. This is God’s judgment in our favor for this hour.
Crowned Vav This Year
We called our Israel journey the “Crown & Throne Tour,” but it could easily have been termed the “Crowned Vav Tour.” We have been forerunning something special here for you to receive. In this Passover season, God is crowning your vav—your covenant commitment to Him. He is releasing “thrones of glory” in a new way globally. (Photo via pixabay)
Let’s examine this perception in context with the Hebrew meaning of the new year. In August, towards the end of the Hebrew year 5776, the Lord began to share with us regarding 5777.
Six is the Hebrew word-picture “vav”—again, a tent peg. Vav connects. In fact, the first place you see the letter vav is in Genesis 1:1. In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. You could literally read it, “In the beginning, God created the heavens vav earth.” Vav connects—even realms together!
Seven is the Hebrew word-picture for covenant. This is really important. It is described as a tent peg that is crowned, or a “crowned vav.” As I began to perceive this, Holy Spirit broke in with a promise for the year 5777 that has now defined our year. He spoke, “This year God is crowning your vav with His glory and His government!”
The Lord is faithful. And He is coming to the places where you have staked your claim—your places of covenant commitment, even to the point of laying down your life. He is crowning your vav with His glory and His government!
Passover—Yeshua the Crowned VAV
“You are being invited to become a throne of glory to your Father’s house!”
Last September, we felt led to “peg in” God’s promised turnaround for America in the literal soil of Mount Zion as part of our Glory Train-Turnaround Tour. The Lord clearly directed us to Isaiah 22:22-23, “I will give him the key of David, and when he opens no man will shut, when he shuts no man will open. And I will DRIVE HIM LIKE A PEG in a firm place, and he will become a THRONE OF GLORY to his Father’s house.”
See how the lowest place becomes the highest place. The vav in the earth becomes God’s throne of glory! Profound.
During this journey we had the privilege of visiting the Messianic Jewish leader, Asher Intrater. My heart was bursting to share with Asher what the Lord was bringing forth. But before I could even speak, Asher began to teach us prophetically. He shared how Jesus—Yeshua—is the fulfillment of Isaiah 22:22. He opens and no man shuts, and He shuts and no man opens. And I will drive Him like a peg in a firm place, and He will become a throne of glory to His Father’s house…
We had come to Israel to peg in a “vav” because we knew the Lord had promised to crown it with His glory and government. Both Israel and America desperately needed the intervention this prophetic action conveyed. To my knowledge, Asher had no idea why were there, yet he prophesied to us our very dream. Even using the very Scriptures the Lord had given us to stand on!
Asher further conveyed how, on Passover, God the Father literally pegged Jesus into the earth to redeem mankind. Yeshua, vaved to a Cross. Yeshua, resurrected and crowned, redeeming the nations with His covenant love and governmental authority.
From the time of Christ’s resurrection, the VAV of the Cross has circled the earth in proclamation of the Gospel. Asher conveyed how Yeshua is again being staked by the Father into the very ground of Jerusalem—this time as King. A throne of glory to His Father’s house!
I believe this is our greatest promise this Passover season as the Lord magnifies His Son in the earth. His VAV is being crowned—in Israel, America, in the nations, and in your respective lives. You are being invited to become a throne of glory to your Father’s house!
Vision—Crown of Glory at City of David
About a week ago, we revisited this peg I had driven into Mount Zion in September. At the time, Jolene and I had no idea this journey of retracing David’s steps was even being planned. But God did. He knew just what to bring forth to confirm His vav was now being crowned! Truly a full circle moment.
During our session I had a vision. I saw what looked to be a solid, golden rainbow emerge from the ground of the ancient city of Shiloh. You probably know that Shiloh is where the Ark of the Covenant originally rested, yet also where Ichabod was eventually decreed.
This golden rainbow began to arc, coming back down at the City of David. I continued to watch as it broke through the ground and continued underground, until it formed a perfect circle back to Shiloh.
The rainbow formed a wedding band. Married to the Lord! A crown of glory connecting Shiloh and the City of David, Israel’s two original thrones of glory. God was saying essentially, “I am marrying you again! I am restoring My glory to you!”
I believe the Lord is bringing a major alignment this Passover from Zion to the nations. Watch how crowns of glory begin to form. Watch how yours even connects your past, present and future in a way you previously did not see. A full circle moment. His redemption—your glory! (Photo via pixabay)
Crowning David’s Commitment
This wedding ring conveys how genuine thrones for God are established by covenant with Him. Below are just a few verses from Psalm 132, which conveys David’s covenant commitment to establish a throne of glory in the City of David. God so cherished this throne that He promised in the end of days to resurrect it. And we are now in the global restoration of the Tabernacle of David (see Amos 9:11).
Psalm 132 begins with David’s plea regarding this sacrificial covenant commitment. “Remember, O Lord, on David’s behalf, all of his afflictions. How he swore to the Lord and vowed to the Mighty One of Jacob… I will give no rest to my eyes, or slumber to my eyelids, until I find a place of the Lord, a dwelling place for the Mighty One of Jacob.”
“Remember, Lord…” What a simple, powerful prayer! David then describes how he searched for the Ark of the Covenant, seeking to restore his covenantal heritage to its place of honor.
“We heard of it in (Bethlehem) Ephratah, we found it in the fields of Jaar… Arise O Lord to Your resting place, You and the ark of Your strength!”
The final passage records God’s response. Pay close attention. Because at the place of David’s Tent, the Lord literally promises to crown this tent peg, this vav, with His glory. “There I will cause the horn of David to spring forth,” the Lord thunders. “I have prepared a lamp for Mine anointed. His enemies I will clothes with shame, but upon himself HIS CROWN SHALL SHINE!”
Crowned Vav
“He spoke, “This year God is crowning your vav with His glory and His government!” “
As you step into David’s commitment to establish a throne of glory, know that there will absolutely be sacrifice involved. But Heaven and earth will back you up. He will crown your vav with His glory and His government!
And as witnesses of His work, we agree that this movement of God’s Spirit is now governmentally released at a global level. Ask the Lord to blot out Ichabod from your bloodline, from your church, from your city, your nation. “Ichabod” erased. Thrones of glory released!
And just as with our experience on Mt. Zion, God is moving this Passover to crown your covenant commitment with His glory and government. He will come through. No King but Jesus! (To Subscribe to the Elijah List go here.)
