v1 The WILDERNESS and the WASTELAND shall BE GLAD for them.
The dry places know the struggles we have been through as God takes us there. They understand the trials. They are delighted when we come out. The very playground of fire is glad for us.
“And the desert shall rejoice and blossom as the rose.”
The rose is amazingly beautiful, but it keeps itself in order. Its thorns offer protection around its beauty. The desert time has made us to bloom like the rose. Our ashes have turned to beauty. But, we are refined. We carry the Spirit of God around us as protection against the elements and the enemy. He is our Portion.
v2 “It shall BLOSSOM ABUNDANTLY ADN REJOICE,
Even with JOY and SINGING
Glory and Excellence will be given to it.
“THEY SHALL SEE THE GLORY OF THE LORD.” The fruit of the desert is a new bloom and beauty for us. This reflects the awesome glory of the Lord on everyone else.
v3-4 Strengthen the weak hands and make firm the feeble knees. This ties directly to what God gave me on Hebrews 12. God uses chastening for the ones He loves to make them holy. This holiness reflects His glory to the great cloud of witnesses. The desert produces great abundance and bloom and joy and singing. Bless God.
“Be strong, do not fear!” God told Joshua the same thing. Before leaving the desert, we must take heed in God. He is our stronghold. He is our warrior. He is in us and with us. He will fight for us. There is no reason to be afraid.
“Behold, your God will come with vengeance,
Withe the recompense of God;
He will come and save you.”
v5 Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened,
And the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.
v6The the lame shall leap like a deer,
And the tongue of the dumb sing.
God often shuts down those around you. They are oblivious to what He has going on. They question you and your motives. They cannot see Him at work. They do not hear His voice speaking to you. This increases the persecution and the intensity of the desert. It also draws more attention to the great cloud of witnesses. More and more folks get drawn into all that is happening in the desert.
Then, when blooming comes, the eyes and ears are opened. Those that would not approach you leap for joy. the ones that would not speak up, sing.
“For waters shall BURST forth from the wilderness.
And streams in the desert.”
v8 “A highway shall be there, and a road.
AND IT SHALL BE CALLED THE HIGHWAY OF HOLINESS.’
Reference Heb 12:10;14
The unclean shall not pass over it. But it shall be for others.
Those that walk on it wont go astray – even the fools or simple ones.
v9 No lion shall be there. The devil walks the earth like a roaring lion ready to devour. He isnt there on the highway of holiness. God’s taking us through the desert makes us holy. Holiness allows us to walk a path that comes without getting lost or taken out. Even the devil isnt there.
“but the redeemed shall walk there…”
v10 And the ransomed of the Lord shall return,
And come to Zion with SINGING
Wither everlasting JOY on their heads,
They shall obtain JOY and GLADNESS,
And worrow and sighing shall flee away.
Bless God
