There are lots of ways to see people come to Christ, but I think that one of the more powerful ones is for Him to demonstrate who He is. His very nature causes false beliefs to go away. It requires nothing of us.
Revelation 19:10 says that the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. So, we see that when there is testifying to what He has done, grace is released for more of that. Prophetically, something happens, and things are ripe for action.
Look at John 4.
In 4:16-17, Jesus releases a word of knowledge to the woman at the well about her marital situation.
4:19 She confirms the word.
4:20-25 They have a remarkable exchange, and truth is released into the atmosphere on who He is.
4:26 – Jesus reveals Himself to her. Only the LORD can do that.
4:29 – She confirms the stirring.
Then we see the effect. In 4:39, the CITY starts to come to Jesus. The testimony is released and an entire town comes to Christ. The effect kept going.
4:42, then we see a second key:
Once a person starts to speak on what He is doing, He Himself gets in the action and backs up what the person is testifying to. He started proclaiming for Himself “and many more believed”.
It’s amazing. We testify and grace is released. People respond to Jesus. Jesus then responds to us, and that grace and even more people are impacted.
This all started with one word of knowledge about an inappropriate relationship.
