I sensed the Lord saying, “Do you trust me?”…. got a picture of a light house and a storm passing through. No matter what, at all cost, keep your eyes on the Lighthouse.
I heard the Lord say, ‘fight like a girl’… which to me means that you do whatever it takes to get the job done. Girls don’t pump muscle in the gym to use them someday, they do and use whatever is in sight when they need to fight. We are amazingly gentle, but fierce lionesses when need to be. Believe the Lord was saying to you to just keep your eyes on Him and do whatever He tells you – fast, pray, rest, SOZO, wait, pray, press in, back off, worship….. we like to look for the ONE thing that will remove our discomfort and He was just saying ‘keep your eyes on me and I will tell you what to do when you need to do it’.
While walking I had this strong feeling He was going to say something – it was awesome. I turned around and saw this rock only about 5-10 feet from the shore. You could go up and touch it, but it was impossible to hike b/c it was 30 degrees straight up. It looked so odd, like it didn’t belong.. why was it there and not on the shore w/ the rest of them? It was in the way, and sort of ‘unfun’ because you couldn’t climb it like all of the others. I was bothered by it and it was blocking my view… but then we walked to the other side and I was speechless…. there was the most amazing, beautiful, inviting arch entry way…. it screamed at my spirit, “Ignore the rock and just follow the path”.
Bless you John for the fight that God has put in you – the fight that is fueled by the Holy Dissatisfaction that you and your family do not need to settle for anything less than the finished work of the Cross.
