We are only allowed so much time on the mountain – those very intimate periods where God brings us into a place where our existence is simply overshadowed by His Holiness and Love – not the perceived abundance of the natural life. Yes, we actually can achieve ever increasing community with Him and holiness and righteousness in ourselves. And, it takes those valley experiences to get us to a point of transformation and being able to eceive all that He is and has for His children.
The true definition of mountain comes when you define your valley in terms of community with God. When your fellowship with Him is so very much greater than the circumstances around you. When the storm rages all around, and you are more than comfortable taking a nap in the arms of your Dad.
When God has finally gotten you to a place where you see yourself being in the valley when life is seemingly at its highest but you are far away from God, you have reached the true valley. When you define your mountain as the time you reach that closeness and intimacy to the point of hearing God’s heart for you and hearing His and nothing else matters, you have reached your true mountain.
The circumstances of life are irrelevant to our mountains and valleys. Our relationship with the Lord who loves us so much is all that matters.
Its funny how your valley becomes the mountain when you see Jesus as your Portion.
Bless God
