Zachary and I saw 8 houses on Sunday. I really liked the types of houses found in SW Longmont, but I wasnt so impressed by the distance from 25, Denver, etc. But, the houses in Lafayette are older. The houses in Louisville are unimpressive. I dont know why folks like Louisville so much. So, I wasnt enamored with a lot. I will go see that house on Clipper drive on Weds. It has a pool and built in hot tub and 6 br. It is very nice, but it is also expensive. If we could get them down to 435k, our mortgage payments would still be 2,800. That feels like a lot. When I told Laura that, she said the same thing. So, I am taking heed.
However, I responded to a house on Craig’s list that is pre-foreclosure. I emailed the guy, and he responded yesterday. When I spoke with him, the Spirit of God fell all over me. This is the same thing that happened with Nate when we were first talking about the job. I believe that the LORD is going to give us this house. And, I am thinking that the 311 number that kept coming up all these months is the number that I will offer the bank. The guy selling it is a believer and going through some serious adversity. He has no job nor any money. He almost got divorced. It sounds a lot like our story.
Assuming that the house is the one, my plan is to offer him $311k with the bank paying 1.5% in closing costs and covering the realtors. Then, I plan on buying some of his furniture and giving him $7k for it so that he can get started in a new place. Naturally, it would be subject to Laura’s inspection of the house.
I told this to Zachary so that he could watch God do His thing.
